A Bermondsey Bash

  • Monday 13 June 2022
(11am-1pm - meet outside London Bridge Station by The Shipwrights Arms)
  • Guide: Andrew Davies

Once a little tatty, Bermondsey is now one of London‘s most sought after neighbourhoods, full of art galleries, museums and fashionable eateries.

We will see the remains of Bermondsey Abbey, once the size of St Paul’s; the River Neckinger and the Victorian Leathermarket; Dickens’s Oliver Twist and Jacob’s Island; Spa Gardens and London’s first railway line and station – and much more.

The walk ends where it began.
