Members’ Letter June 2020
Dear Members
I hope that you are enjoying our online programme of events. We are going to run online the study day examining the Ghent Altarpiece which we had to postpone in March. This will be presented as three one-hour weekly sessions:
The Ghent Altarpiece: exploring the van Eycks’ masterpiece led by Paula Nuttall
Thursdays 16, 23, 30 July 2020, 11am-12pm
You can access further details and book by clicking on the title.
There are still places available on the three-week study day From Renaissance to Baroque: the rise and struggle of women in the world of art led by Leslie Primo starting on Monday 29 June. You can book by clicking on the title.
Our next online lecture Paint it Black: Titian’s religious paintings for Philip II is on Thursday 9 July, 2-3pm. The lecturer is Carlo Corsato.
A further lecture From Mexico to Mughal India: the global exchange of art in the Renaissance led by Ursula Weekes will take place on Monday 7 September, 2-3pm. More details to follow.
Please remember that although lectures are free they must be booked since places are limited online. You should only book one place, unless you have joint membership and are using separate devices to join the lecture online.
You will receive an email the day before the event you have booked with details of how to join the event.
Many commercial art galleries in London will reopen on 15 June – see Art Online for more details.
Best wishes.
