E-News Bulletin August 2024

SOCIETY EVENTS
Our in-person course on Byzantine Architecture starting on 12 September will be recorded and available to participants after each session so that they can catch up if they are unable to attend a session or watch again if desired. The event will also be run as an online course only for members who wish to participate from home –  there are places available. You can select an option when you book.  There is one place left on the visit to St Paul’s Cathedral on 6 September and places also available on the National Theatre Architecture Tour on 23 September. Please remember that we do need members to book as early as possible in order to ensure that events do not need to be transferred online or at worst cancelled.

Non-members attending events
Our trial of opening events which are undersubscribed two weeks before the occasion to non-members to attend is continuing. However, in order to ensure that we have sufficient participants to go ahead we are accepting bookings from non-members now for Byzantine Architecture and the study day Casper David Friedrich on 18 October. If you would like to invite anyone please contact the organiser by email to express interest (go to our website, select an event, click the booking button, and then select the organiser’s name under Contact to access the email address).

Lecture programme
Our online lectures will be recorded and available to members who have booked a ticket for two weeks after the event.
