SOCIETY EVENTS
We have a range of stimulating events coming up this autumn all of which still have some places available. Do take a look at our website. Please remember that in all our events need to at least break even to be viable and therefore we do need members to book as early as possible in order to ensure that events do not need to be transferred online or at worst cancelled. Currently the following events need more bookings in order to go ahead:
Our online course Between Nationalism and Modernity: Artists of Eastern Europe starting on 16 October needs more members in order to go ahead. This course will be led by Kathy McLauchlan whose recent study day on Scandinavian art was a great success.
The National Theatre Architecture Tour on 23 September needs four more members and friends for the visit to go ahead.
Old Flo and Her Friends: the public art of Canary Wharf a walk on 5 October needs seven more members and friends for the walk to be viable. This will be the first walk organised on a Saturday for at least 15 years!
The visit to view Drawing the Italian Renaissance at The King’s Gallery on 29 November. This has to be fully booked by 25 October to be viable. The Society lecture on 8 October The Value of Drawing in Renaissance Italy given by Grant Lewis and the Guardian article by Caroline Davies Unique opportunity to see Italian Renaissance Drawings in London will both provide a good foundation for this visit.
