Long regarded as a footnote to the Impressionist movement, Gustave Caillebotte has come to be regarded as one of the most original and perceptive artists of his period, whose work captures many aspects of modern life in an extraordinarily prophetic way.
Lecturer
Patrick Bade is a freelance lecturer in art history. He studied at UCL and the Courtauld and was senior lecturer at Christies Education for many years. He has lectured for a number of institutions including the Art Fund, Royal Opera House, British Museum, National Gallery, V&A. Patrick has also participated in programmes on BBC Radio 3, Radio 4 and Classic FM. He has published widely and leads tours for cultural travel companies on art & music.
