Exterior and Immediate Environs of St Paul’s Cathedral
Most visits to St Paul’s Cathedral focus on the interior. This visit is concerned with looking at the outside of the building, the churchyard and buildings associated with the Cathedral. There will be a 10 min break near the entrance to the Crypt where there are toilets – before continuing the walk to St Bride’s via Dean’s Court, Carter Lane, Amen Court and Ludgate Hill.
St Bride’s Church and Museum
Located on Fleet Street, is most renowned for its wedding cake spire, completed to the designs of Sir Christopher Wren in 1703 and plagiarised by bakers ever since. Beneath the intricate steeple, more than 2000 years of history lurks within the building’s fascinating crypts.
There will be a Recital at St Bride’s Church at 1.15pm – you are welcome to attend.
