What’s on: future study walks

Study walks explore the art historical context of parts of London and other nearby places. These events are led by qualified guides or lecturers who have a detailed and thorough understanding of their subjects.

Current fees for study walks are £15, unless indicated otherwise on the booking page, and are for members only.

A Bermondsey Bash

We will see the remains of Bermondsey Abbey, once the size of St Paul’s; the River Neckinger and the Victorian Leathermarket; Dickens’s Oliver Twist and Jacob’s Island; Spa Gardens and London’s first railway line and station – and much more.

Hidden Green Spaces of the City

Most of the green spaces in the City came about because of two devastating events: the Fire of London in 1666 and the Blitz in 1940. On our walk we will visit ten of these green spaces and learn their fascinating history.

We prefer online booking using WebCollect by clicking on BOOK PLACES in the event details section. It is also possible to book by printing and completing a paper booking form  and sending it together with a cheque to our Administrator at the address on the form.

Payment for subscriptions and event bookings through WebCollect can be made by card (via PayPal), by direct debit, by bank transfer, or by cheque. For information on each payment option, you can either read more on this site, or download the information as a PDF.
